Current teaching and research interests

Stephanie Cassone FNP-BC, ACHPN, is palliative care nurse practitioner with advanced certification in hospice and palliative nursing. Her clinical experience includes 7 years providing outpatient and inpatient palliative care consultation as well as caring for hematology patients in the outpatient setting. She is currently a member of the “Heartpal” team at Brigham and Women’s Hospital where she is helping to develop an embedded palliative care program with the advanced heart disease group. 
Stephanie has been a part of the Simmons University teaching team since 2014 and was recently promoted to Associate Professor of Practice. She greatly enjoys curriculum development, engaging students in learning, and helping to train future nurse practitioners.
