Current teaching and research interests

Julia Gallagher MD is the Medical Director of the MGH/Partners Home Based Palliative Care Program (HBPalC).  In addition to her administrative and clinical responsibilities related to the HBPalC Program, she is interested in systems change, continuity and coordination of care and palliative care in heart failure particularly in the setting of advanced therapies such as home inotropic support and left ventricular assist devices.  She also serves as teaching faculty for the MGH Continuum Project’s Serious Illness Conversation trainings.
