Application information for Nurse Practitioner Fellowships


 

Each nurse practitioner fellowship application requires the following:
 

  • Complete online Human Resources application for the fellowship(s) of your choice (including resume or curriculum vitae).
     
  • Email the following materials to the appropriate fellowship director:
    • Unofficial transcript from graduate program.
    • Personal statement describing your interest in palliative nursing; learning objectives for the fellowship year; and goals for advancing palliative care in the nursing field (500-word limit).
  • Request that 3 references send letters directly to the appropriate fellowship director(s):
    • Reference letters should attest to your interest, experience, and potential in palliative care specialty practice and include:
      • At least one clinical reference
      • At least one academic reference

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Fellowship

January - February 2023 Applicants invited to interview.
March 2023 Fellow selection announced.
July 2023 Fellowship begins.
June 30, 2024 Fellowship year ends.

July 1, 2023 Fellowship begins.

Application Materials for Nurse Practitioner Fellowships

Job Qualifications
 

  • Masters or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited program by January 2023.
  • Board certified or board-eligible by January 31, 2023:
    • Adult NP Fellowships:  Board certification in Adult/Geriatric Primary Care, Adult Acute Care or Family Nurse Practitioner.
    • Pediatric NP Fellowship: Board certification in Pediatric Primary Care, Pediatric Acute Care or Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • Licensure as a Certified Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts required before start of fellowship (July 1, 2023).
  • Prescriptive authority for controlled substances in MA with DEA registration required before start of fellowship.
  • Prior experience as Nurse Practitioner preferred.

Responsibilities
 

  • Fulfillment of all requirements including didactics curriculum and scholarly assignments of the Harvard Interprofessional Palliative Care Fellowship.
  • Comply with all job requirements of Nurse Practitioner at assigned institution.
