Foundations of Palliative Care

November 5-6, 2026

This two-day, live online intensive is designed for all members of interdisciplinary palliative and hospice care teams who want to level up their knowledge of the fundamental elements of palliative or hospice care. Next-level Practice in Palliative Care

January 12-14, 2027

Formerly called Core Practice of Palliative Care, this three-day, live online intensive is for all members of adult and pediatric palliative and hospice care teams ready to enhance their practice skills.

In Next-Level Practice, clinicians refine competencies introduced in Foundations or learned through clinical practice. Led by an exceptional, interdisciplinary faculty, this course strengthens essential skills, emphasizing serious illness communication, whole-person assessments, and state-of-the-art symptom management. This fast-paced, immersive experience features:

  • Skill development through interactive case-based sessions

The MGH Palliative Care and Geriatric Medicine Grand Rounds convene leading speakers from inside the Harvard Medical School network and from across the country to speak to the highest priority issues in caring for patients and families at the end of life.
